Summer is coming and that means bathing suits, bare legs, and arms. During the winter, we tend to eat more and skip a few steps in our exercise routine. British scientists have discovered that gaining weight in cold weather is actually part of the survival instinct inherited from our ancestors.
We put together 8 tips to help you get your body in perfect shape for the summer.
8 Beauty Tips
8. Facial Skin
In winter, the skin of the face is more vulnerable: it is affected by frost, winds and changes in temperature. Therefore, before summer arrives, take care of your skin. Forget about intensive exfoliation or any procedure that can damage your already exhausted skin.
Instead, use homemade toners and lotions to cleanse your face. To cleanse oily skin, use decoctions of cornflower, parsley or rosemary. If you have dry skin, a decoction of chamomile will be better.
7. Body Skin
Low temperatures and internal heating make our skin very dry and dehydrated. Always hydrate your skin so it looks smooth and healthy when you wear skirts, dresses and shorts. If you don’t already have a favorite lotion, coconut oil is a great natural moisturizer.
6. Bikini Line
Wearing a bathing suit means that everyone will be able to see your bikini line. The easiest and cheapest way to get rid of hair in this region is to shave. Unfortunately, it can be itchy when hair grows back after shaving. Also, if you have thick or dark hair, black spots are almost always visible, even after a new shave.
The other option to get a perfect bikini line is to shave. Hair removal can be done once every 1-2 months, depending on the speed of hair growth. To avoid ingrown hairs after waxing, it is recommended to exfoliate the bikini line at least twice a week.
To eliminate dark areas of the bikini line, you should always hydrate after showering. You can use special lotions that will prevent ingrown hairs as they will also help treat dark areas.
If you want your armpits to look lighter and also slow down hair growth in this area, you can try this simple organic lightening cream:
- 2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 3 tsp of honey
- juice of 1/2 lime or lemon
Mix the ingredients to form a thick paste. Before applying this cream, make sure your armpits are well cleaned. After application, let the treatment dry for 20 minutes and then wash off. Finally, hydrate your skin.
4. Flat Belly
Having a flat abdomen is the key to looking good in a bathing suit. It is worth paying special attention to this area during training.
One of the most effective exercises is the “ball exchange.” Lie on your back with your legs straight and place your arms above your head. Begin by holding the ball above your head. Hold it on your chest and lift your legs up to find the ball. Place the ball between your ankles and bring it to the floor, keeping your legs straight.
Repeat this exercise 10 to 12 times. Try to keep your lower back pressed against the ground when changing the ball.
Boxing is also a great way to lose extra inches from your waist. Add it to your cardio routine.
3. Muffin Tops
To get rid of muffins tips, you can follow these simple exercises that you can do at home.

Return to the starting position and repeat the exercise on the other side.
Repeat the exercise 10 times on each side.
Lie on your back with your knees bent at chest level and your hands behind your head.
