4 Ways to Remove Tartar Stains From Your Teeth

Although tartare is a delicious dish, dental tartare is something we fear. It’s the worst form of plaque and occurs when you forget the golden rule of 3: brush, floss, and rinse. When tartar is not removed from teeth, it becomes rough and can cause gum disease. Not to mention it’s quite unpleasant to look at when you open your mouth.

At Here Were we are aware of bad teeth, bad breath, and poor oral hygiene. Here are 10 ways to get rid of tartar and shine like a diamond.

4. Baking soda and salt

Start with this simple yet effective method for removing tartar. Baking soda is a powerful agent that has an antibacterial effect and also helps whiten your teeth.

Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a pinch of salt and put some of this mixture on your toothbrush. Alternatively, add it to your regular toothpaste. Do not brush your teeth with baking soda more than once a week as it can damage your enamel.

3. Hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash

Hydrogen peroxide has antimicrobial properties, just like mouthwash. Mix 1 tablespoon of antiseptic mouthwash with 3 tablespoons of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Gargle with this mixture for a few minutes and finish the procedure with clean water.

2. Aloe vera and glycerin

A complete blend of goodness for your teeth. Mix 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin, 10 drops of lemon essential oil, and 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 cup of water to make a smooth paste.

Brush your teeth with this paste once a day until you see the tartar become less visible. Then repeat once every 3-4 days. Aloe vera helps heal teeth and gums and lemon essential oil fights bacteria.

1. Cloves

This spice has long been used as a remedy for toothache. It also fights microbes in the mouth. Grind the clove (or find a ready-made powder), add a little olive oil, and apply the mixture to the stained areas.

Another idea is to chew cloves regularly to reduce bad breath and kill bacteria. Try it instead of your usual gum.
