Makeup is an art that requires practice and patience. Skillfully applied, it can completely change your appearance and bring out your best features.
In addition to being the mirror of the soul, your eyes are the most expressive feature of your face, and eye makeup can be the most important part of your overall makeup. We want to show you how to create five different eyeliner styles to accentuate, reshape, and add additional beauty to your eyes.
5. Pin-up winged eyeliner
A simple retro look is one of the most versatile and easy to create, so it will probably become one of your favorites. You can use it for almost any occasion, although we recommend adding mascara and eye shadow for evening makeup.
For the perfect winged eye look, line just above the lashes to the outer corner. Then draw a short tip upwards that should almost look like an extension of the lower lash line.
Draw a straight line from the tip to the middle of your eyelid and fill the outline with solid black. You can make the line thicker if you want.
4. Cat’s eye
This strong makeup will not let you go unnoticed! To create a cat-eye look, first, apply a shade that matches your skin tone. You can also use silver and gold shades.
Line the upper eyelid with black eyeliner (or a simple black pencil) from the outer corner to the end of the eyebrow. Line up the upper lashes, connect them to the line you just made, and paint the triangle. Finish this look with two to three coats of black mascara.
3. Fully covered lid
This style is a more dramatic version of the cat eye. To achieve this deep and mysterious look, follow the steps outlined above, but keep in mind that the angle of movement should be less upward. You don’t need to apply eye shadow here, but you can add two coats of ultra-black mascara.
We do not recommend this style if you have very small eyes. Instead of highlighting your natural beauty, your eyes will be dull and dark. We suggest you try the Cleopatra-style eyeliner.
2. Fine line
Remember that less is more when it comes to beauty. For a casual, fresh, and natural look, draw a fine line along the upper lashes. Slightly widen the line outside the eye and voila! If you have wide eyes, just line up the outer half of your eyelid. You can also curl your lashes and add a layer of mascara.
1. The Cleopatra eyeliner style
This style of eyeliner will give you a sophisticated look and will make your eyes look bigger and brighter. Whether you’re on a date, a romantic dinner, or a reunion with someone you haven’t seen in years, this style is just what you need.
Apply a darker shade to the outer part of the eye. Line the upper lash line with black eyeliner. Then start lining up the lower lashes only in the middle and extend the outer corner line upwards, as if you were doing the cat eye.
Brighten the inner corners of your eyes with white, beige, or silver shadows to make them bigger. Use light shadows on the lower lash line. We also recommend that you apply two coats of mascara to your lashes.
